I'm not really new to fitness and working out but I just can't stand sideplanks of any kind. The just hurt my arms and I can't find the right balance. (And I usually have a good one) Plus I feel like they do nothing for me and I never really "feel" them.
Do you have any tips? Am I doing something wrong or do you agree wirh me?
Have you tried half planks? You probably have. How about the more dynamic planks where you go up into a side plank then immediately back down to front then up to the other side? But really, I wouldn't worry too much if planks aren't your thing. They do put a bit of stress on the shoulders and arms. They are a bit overrated, also, imo. There are plenty of other great ways to work your core.
