So I thought we should all give up something for lent! I'm giving up chocolate. It's up to you what you give up and it's only until Easter !

Lent seems silly to me. We give up something for 40 days that we know we should give up permanently. Or we don't take it serious enough and we give up something that that is not standing between us and God. Instead, let's add more prayer, spend more time in the bible, recommit to church and serving others. And at the end of 40 days we can look back and see what God removed for us.

I don't see Lent as silly, though, but to each his own. I guess giving up something such as what Yolande said, chocolate, would become routine. Who knows she would have completely eliminated her chocolate consumption after Lent, right?

Fried foods,but it's good to give up even bigger things that might b good for your mind and even spirit as well. Fasting,prayer,and understanding are other things to do,if not look into anyday,wk.,month,of the yr to seek that closer relationship within yourself and God.

Im giving up conveinience food, so more packed lunches etc less popping to greggs for a belgian bun! The money i save will go to charity, and i will limit myself after lent.
This is how i 'do' lent, but a different food each time.

Be truthful and helpful to your body and give it up for good! Why else do you work out if you just fill you body full of crap again. CHANGE THE MIND AND THE BODY WILL FOLLOW!

I wanna give up tv for lent I use it way too much as a time filler, and honestly watch a whole load of rubbish at least 70% of the time. 

I'm hoping the extra time I will have should allow me to wrk on my body more and obviously pray and read the bible more! So do we start from now till Easter?

Giving up TV is a wonderful idea you have there. Honestly soda is something I'd like to stop consuming. Soda isn't gonna help my workouts and TV just keeps me awake.

Y not go for it I'm sure u can give up 2 things were all behind u!!! I'm not gonna lie the tv things gonna b hard it's a crutch but I've gotta try right ?
